Flow is a 30-minute journey in immersive sound: an orchestra of guitars, voices, four double basses, electronic oscillators, and field recordings from Iceland. Shifting from lush ambient swells to visceral rock intensity, Flow places the listener ‘inside the music’.
Created by Adrian Utley, the guitarist and sonic architect of Portishead, and produced with Grammy Award-winning engineer Hans-Martin Buff, the piece pushes the boundaries of immersive composition. It was recorded here in the Big Room at Real World Studios using the 9.1.4 surround installation.
