Post-Production
From feature film mixing to dialogue recording, Real World Studios provides a range of post-production services in a beautiful, quiet and spacious rural location, 20 miles from Bristol and perfectly convenient for travel from London.
Over the last few years, Real World have hosted a panoply of cinematic stars, from Nicolas Cage and Rutger Hauer to Maisie Williams and Dominic West. Feature credits include Quantum of Solace, Brideshead Revisited, The Number One Ladies Detective Agency, Kickass, the recent Disneynature blockbusters and various film and TV projects for the BBC, ITV, Discovery along with a host of independent production companies.
For larger mixing and pre-mixing projects, The Big Room transforms into a Dolby Atmos mix stage with an Avid S3 control surface, Christie projector and 6m x 4m screen, blackout curtains and custom-built Exigy 9.1.4 surround monitoring. A Pro Tools HDX-2 system with Sync-HD, plus a vast selection of plugins, provides the audio engine.
The Red Room is our smaller mixing facility, a purpose-built room fitted with an Avid S3 control surface, Atmos-equipped ATC SCM45a monitoring and the same spec HDX-2 Pro Tools system as The Big Room. Its quiet, controlled acoustics make it perfectly suited to dialogue and voice recording and movie pre-mixing/mixing as well as all aspects of TV post mixing. The Red Room also offers SourceConnect to allow link-ups with facilities the world over.
Including all the benefits of our residential facilities, Real World makes a focussed and creatively inspiring working environment for filmmakers and actors, greatly easing the pressure so often associated with top-level post-production. Despite its rural location, Real World certainly isn’t isolated. Our fast internet connection over a dedicated fibre-optic line enables seamless link-up sessions and super-fast delivery of mixes around the globe.
“To Real World, thank you for the excellent and calming facility to record in.”
“Real World! Thank you for all your hard work! I shall be spending as much time here as possible. Lots of love, Maisie”
